Jets keep season afloat, dismantle Bills on Thursday night
#1
In an act of revenge on Week 1, improving to 4-5 on the season., the Jets took down the Bills in primetime at Metlife Stadium 34-21. It was a game that was decided by hard defensive play by the Jets D-Line as Gang Green was able to keep their playoff hopes alive

The Jets, who had just 43 rushing yards against the Falcons a week ago, toppled the Bills’ running defense, putting up over 190 yards between running backs Matt Forte, and Elijah McGuire on Thursday night. Forte found the endzone for the first time this season, Bilal Powell, scoring twice for Gang Green.

who compiled four catches for 48 yards. McCown also scrambled for a touchdown which initially put the Jets up 7-0 on their second drive of the game.,Josh McCown also looked poised as he completed 14 of his 20 passing attempts for 140 yards including a touchdown to Robby Anderson

A defensive line that totaled 11 sacks on the year came to play as well Thursday night, giving the star running back his worst game of the season just a few days after putting up over 150 on the Raiders., sacking Bills Quarterback Tyrod Taylor seven times. They also kept LeSean McCoy limited to only 25 yards on 12 carries

Turnovers also played a big part in the game, the Jets were able to hold on and secure their fourth win of the year and second within the division., as the Jets forced three fumbles while never turning the ball over themselves. While the Bills did have Jets fans holding their breath during a late charge in the final five minutes of the game

Ending a three game losing streak where the team blew three consecutive fourth quarter leads, including a devastating 28-14 lead over the Dolphins, New York finally proves they can hang on. This year, Josh McCown and the Jets have been contenders in every game since. Following a 10 day rest, following their 0-2 start to the season,Authentic Josh Kline Jersey, the Jets will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the 2-5 Buccaneers with hopes of returning to .500 on the season.

With the Dolphins coming off of the largest blowout in years against the Ravens, the Bills’ loss on Thursday, the Jets are alive and well in the AFC East in what has so far been a wild season through nine weeks of play.,Authentic Logan Ryan Jersey, and the Patriots’ defense still looking like a liability

Remaining home games for the Jets include battles with the Panthers, Chiefs, but will be given a week of rest following their game against Tampa Bay,Authentic Sylvester Williams Jersey, and the Chargers, with their bye week resting in Week 11 of the 2017 season.

“I feel like I can’t do many positive things on the ice, that’s always good but it would be nice to help the team.”,” Laine said. “The team is winning

Laine,Womens Johnathan Cyprien Jersey, 19, has four goals and six points in 11 games this season, including registering just one shot in Sunday’s 7-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. After scoring 36 goals in his rookie season,Authentic Quinton Spain Jersey, but he hasn’t picked up a point since Oct. 20, expectations were high for Laine and it’s understandable that he would be disappointed with his start.

“It doesn’t matter to me if I’m not scoring or not, it doesn’t matter if it’s offensively or defensively.”,” he said. “But just overall I can’t produce many good things on the ice

his coach is being patient. Paul Maurice told the media that he knows his star winger is just in a slump and expects him to find the back of the net again soon.,While Laine may be frustrated

as the Jets' defense met and made final preparations to face the Bills.,Muhammad Wilkerson issued the challenge on Wednesday night

The first time the Jets faced the Bills, in Week 1, chunk plays. Wilkerson was intent on not letting that happen again. So the veteran defensive end came up with a number: hold McCoy to 70 yards. , running back LeSean McCoy had embarrassed them with 110 yards rushing — the majority of those coming on huge

The Jets met Wilkerson’s challenge, limiting McCoy to only 25 yards rushing on 12 carries during Thursday night's 34-21 win over Buffalo at MetLife Stadium. , and then some

“We knew that he’s their No. 1,” defensive end Leonard Williams said. “And that was the guy we focused on stopping.” , go-to guy on offense

More importantly, the unit finally lived up to that billing.  , they put together their most dominant and complete defensive performance of the season. The Jets were always supposed to be a team that relied on its defense as its greatest strength. And on Thursday night

” Jets middle linebacker Darron Lee said.,“We set a standard tonight

There was pressure on the quarterback: The Jets, had seven sacks on Thursday night., who had only 11 sacks in the first game of the season

but the Jets forced three.,There were turnovers: The Bills had only committed three turnovers all season before Thursday night

And there was a general sense of confidence and swagger from the defense that hadn’t been there before. Before several drives in the second half, and it’s been fun to watch. , the defense was bouncing and dancing around on the field. This unit plays hard and believes in itself

It’s different when we’re clicking on all cylinders,” Jets coach Todd Bowles said. “It’s not just Mo [Wilkerson], and Leo [Williams] and Steve [McLendon] and [Mike] Pennel. All of those guy s came in and played. And when it’s clicking, but everybody. Darron [Lee] and [Demario Davis] were playing well, it’s pretty good.”

torching them for four plays of more than 20 yards. ,But the defense showed its most marked improvement with the way it handled McCoy. He made the Jets look silly in Week 1

when McCoy reeled off an impressive 12-yard run on a misdirection. ,It looked like there would be more trouble in the first quarter

“He’s one of the best backs in the league,Womens Josh Kline Jersey,” Bowles said. “He made a play in the first quarter where he spun back on Jordan [Jenkins] where you can’t do anything but tip your hat to the guy.” , without a doubt

It worked because aside from that 12-yard carry, when the Jets let McCoy run wild. And Bowles said it was all about being smarter on defense. ,Womens Logan Ryan Jersey, McCoy had only 13 total yards for the rest of the game on 11 carries. It was an incredible difference from Week 1

” Bowles said. “We knew it was going to be a physical ball game. We watch the tape from Week 1 and it was awful from our gap responsibility and understanding what they were trying to do. We were a little more honed-in this week.”,Authentic Johnathan Cyprien Jersey,“Gap responsibility

The Jets certainly played smarter. But they also played with more confidence. And that’s likely because they’ve been through a lot since the last time they saw the Bills.

“We are a hell of a lot closer and a hell of a lot better than we were in Week 1, we came together as a unit. We have the utmost trust in each other.” ,” linebacker Jordan Jenkins said. “Through all the adversity and all of the losses and wins that we had

The Jets controlled the game at the line of scrimmage,Womens Quinton Spain Jersey,77 yards, rushing for 194 yards against a Bills team that entered the game ranked third in the NFL against the rush. RB Matt Forte (14 rushes, 2 TDs) had nothing to complain about after this game. RB Bilal Powell (9 rushes,Authentic Taylor Lewan Jersey, 74 yards) ran the ball hard as well. QB Josh McCown (14-of-20, 140 yards, 1 TD, 1 rushing TD,Womens Taylor Lewan Jersey, 106.2 rating) played a mistake-free game.

but had little to show from their return game.,Kicker Chandler Catanzaro made two field goals and punter Lachlan Edwards pinned the Bills inside the 20 twice. The Jets did a good job on coverage

Give Todd Bowles credit for not allowing this season to spiral out of control. The Jets did not hang their heads during their three-game losing streak and bounced back in a big way Thursday night. Offensive coordinator John Morton was committed to the run, Womens Sylvester Williams Jersey, the plan against McCoy and Taylor was effective., and it worked. On defense

The New York Jets' defence made light work of Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo Bills in a 34-21 NFL victory on Thursday.

while quarterback Taylor was sacked seven times by the Jets' defence.,New York running back Matt Forte ran for two touchdowns

The bruising defeat came despite Buffalo arriving in New Jersey on the back of strong performances against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders.

so were aiming for a revival of fortunes on Thursday.,By contrast the Jets had suffered three defeats in a row
